An accomplished semiconductor industry veteran with extensive management, marketing, sales, and engineering experience, Mike has served in executive positions for several successful start-ups including Fresco Microchip, WyLinx Technologies, Synad Technologies, and NxtWave Communications. He has also held senior marketing and engineering management positions with Rockwell Semiconductor, GEC Plessey Semiconductor, Silicon Systems, and Toppan Electronics. Mike received his BS in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton, and his MBA from the University of La Verne.
COO & VP, Legal Affairs
As COO and VP of Legal Affairs of RFaxis, Keyvan is responsible for the overall operations and legal affairs of the company, including licensing, intellectual property, general corporate matters and compliance. Prior to joining RFaxis, Keyvan was a partner and principal at Samini & Simmons, LLP in the firm's business department where he served as counsel to the company and other emerging companies in various stages of growth and development. Keyvan brings to RFaxis many years of experience counseling technology companies, including extensive expertise in financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and compliance matters. Keyvan has been selected by his peers as a 2012 California Super Lawyer in the areas of business & corporate law as well as business litigation, placing him in the top 5% of attorneys in the state. Keyvan earned his law degree from the Ohio State University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
CTO & EVP, Engineering
Oleksandr (Alex) extensive experience in the design and development of high-speed and wideband analog circuits (MMICs, RFICs, GaAs & Silicon Based RF and analog chips), microwave/millimeter-wave circuits, RF Systems/sub-systems/architecture/circuits/modules, and RF devices. A highly respected innovator, Alex has served in a variety of senior scientist capacities for companies including STMicroelectronics, Synad Technologies, Gatax Technology, Hexawave, and ORION Research Institute. Alex received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Kiev Polytechnic Institute and holds numerous patents.
EVP, Marketing & Sales
Ping Peng has extensive experience in R&D, systems engineering, manufacturing operation, business development, and program management in the field of antenna and wireless components and systems. Over the years, he has held senior engineering and management positions at AMP-Tyco Electronics, Foxconn Electronics, Pan International, Homer Technology, and Maxsys Technologies. Ping holds 13 issued and 7 pending patents in the wireless components, antenna and sub-system fields. Ping received his BSEE and MSEE in Electrical Engineering from Xian Jiaotong University, China. He earned his Ph.D. in Microwave Materials from Lehigh University, Pennsylvania.
VP, Marketing & Application Engineering
Yongxi joined RFaxis as Director of Strategic Marketing and Product Planning in August 2009, and has been responsible for all major aspects of RFaxis' strategic marketing, product planning, and application engineering for its RF Front-end Integrated Circuit (RFeIC) solutions. He has extensive research, teaching and product development experience in RF, microwave/millimeter-wave engineering and the wireless communications industry. Prior to joining RFaxis, Yongxi worked as Director of RF Engineering at Microsemi's AMSG Group, where he played an instrumental role in establishing one of the world's most reputable GaAs MMIC design groups serving the Wi-Fi industry. A senior member of the IEEE and author/co-author of over a half dozen books/book chapters and more than 200 publications, Yongxi has won numerous technical awards, including IEEE IMS and European EuMC Paper Awards, a NASA Class I Award and a Japan Microwave Prize. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo, Japan.
VP, Product Development
Ed brings extensive experience in product development and manufacturing operation including wafer foundry, packaging/assembly, product and test engineering in the area of digital, mixed signal, and RF devices utilizing CMOS, BiCMOS, and SiGe technologies. His extensive experience enables the shorter path to the product realization and prepares for ramp-up in manufacturing. Over the years, he has held increasing level of engineering management positions at Rockwell Semiconductor, Conexant Systems, and Axiom Microelectronics, where he was instrumental in launching and high volume manufacturing of GSM Quad-band CMOS PA. He received his BSEE in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Irvine
