RFM8003 Product Brief
The RFM8003 is a universal broadband BiCMOS Transmit IC optimized for linear applications such as E-UTRA / LTE cellular handsets in the 2300MHz to 2620MHz bands and WiMAX / WiBro in the 2300MHz to 2700MHz bands. The RFM8003 architecture integrates the power amplifier, input and output impedance matching, harmonic filter, RF decoupling, directional coupler, ESD protection, and active bias and logic control, all in a BiCMOS single-chip device. With a single power supply at 3.4V, RFM8003 is capable of providing up to +28dBm peak LTE output power.
The RFM8003 also features CMOS logic with very low control voltage (1.2V) and current (<1uA). It has two digital control pins to allow the selection of different power modes including a bypass. The device is housed in an ultra-compact 3x3x0.5mm 10-pin DFN package, and requires minimal external components. Combining high efficiency, excellent thermal stability, small form factor, and low cost, RFM8003 is the ideal solution for LTE mobile cellular handset, WiMAX, as well as other linear applications.
